WebDAV Client Access from Server 2016/2019

Updated: Mar 04, 2021

If you want to access remote storage via WebDAV from a Windows Server 2016/2019 you first need to install the WebDAV client, because it is not available by default.

Run the following command in your PowerShell to install the WebDAV-Feature (a restart is necessary):

Install-WindowsFeature WebDAV-Redirector –Restart

After the restart, you should set the service to start automatically.

Set-Service WebClient -StartupType Automatic

That's it. Now you are able to access a WebDAV-Share from your Windows Server 2016/2019.
